I recently took a course in Edmonton from Oddly Enough Mosaics on how to work with Smalti. I really enjoyed the course, thanks Erin for the wonderful color and depth instruction. I have to buy more Orsoni Smalti to finish it.

Finished Glass Vase mosaic

I finally finished my glass on glass mosaic of a vase. Here is a pic of it....keep in mind the grout will lighten up in a day or so. Thanks to Tanya Macfarlane of Mosaic Beach Studio in Toronto for the tip on her blog about how to work with glass on glass.

After taking one Mosaic Art course back in November 2008, I was hooked on art. I purchased mosaic supplies from a shop in Toronto, as Lloydminster has limited supplies, and started making mosaic pieces on any substrate I could find, picture frames, tea blocks, and currently a vase.
